I can share one similar experience i had with IE 7,8.  When the users of my client&#039;s website using IE were trying to download .docx files they were getting it in zip format otherwise on safari, firefox the .docx files were downloading in .docx format. 

The solution for that was to add association of .docx in MIME settings on the server. So your solution might lie somewhere in the server settings, just google it!</description>

Works fine in FF and Safari. The IE error is an Access Denied for mootools.js .
